Mat Salleh Goes to Malaysia

On May 12th, I dragged my husband and son to balik kampung with me to Malaysia. It is first time for both of them. We stayed for three weeks. I will blog about our adventures as soon as we get over the jet lag. However, i did have a chance to conduct a brief interview with Steve on his experience in Malaysia. All of his answer is very PC. I think he might have a future in politics.
Interview begins......
1. What is your overall impression in Malaysia?
Excellent. The weather was very hot, but they have a/c most places. and other than that, it is a great country to visit, for all of its diversity mostly.
2. Tell me what fascinates you the most in Malaysia? Why?
People, culture, food, and linguistic mix. i love that. The challenge of adapting to all those, that's what i like. every day is like a new one.
3. What is your favourite local food? Any food you don’t care to see again?
I really liked the curry chicken, the beef rendang, the extremely fresh fish, the otak otak was good, also loved the lomaigai, the dabao, the dimsum in general from min kok was pretty good, as was the other food from there. i could go on, can't really think of anything i wouldn't want to eat again. i thought the fish your mom cooked that one night left something to be desired, but i know that was sort of all we had at the time.
4. Does Starbuck in Malaysia taste like Starbuck in USA?
Yes, precisely, bone-jarringly caffeine riddled, the way i like it. :)
5. Between Malaysia and Singapore, which place would you rather live in? Why?
Malaysia - cheaper, roomier, more laid back, and u can always go to Singapore anyway. plus everyone speaks Eng. in Sing, so i will get lazy and not learn any new languages.
6. Would you recommend Malaysia as a tourist destination for others? Why?
Yes, especially because of the cute native who will show you around and cohabit with you as well! ok, so probably that's just for me :)
Interview Ends
P.S. If you do want a cute native to show you around, name a price. I can arrange it. :)

Welcome home folks...I'm now very envious of you people :D
Well as for the foods, I certainly hope the Mat Salleh was not taught to eat mustard with anything because that would be WAY wrong!
BTW I'm finally back to the blogging world...
haha...not only that, you are not suppose to add sugar and milk into the chinese tea :p
Welcome back! can't wait to read some fresh postings by fellow bloggers!
Ehh... what about Steve's impression on Malaysian Durian versus Kansas Store bought Durians? I believe we compared it like Fresh Garbage vs Stale Garbage ??!!!
